We understand that finding the right long-term care home for an intellectually disabled adult is a significant decision. At The Vine Community, we are dedicated to providing a loving, supportive, and stimulating environment where our Mates can truly flourish.

We occasionally have openings for new residents, and we welcome applications from families seeking a compassionate and community-focused home.

Our Admissions Philosophy

Our goal is to ensure The Vine Community is the best possible fit for prospective residents, where they can thrive and integrate well into our close-knit family. We look for individuals who will benefit from our unique community environment and the care we provide.

The Application Process

To help us get to know the prospective resident and understand their needs, our application process involves a few key steps:

1. Initial Enquiry:
   Please begin by contacting us via email at thevinecommunity8@gmail.com. Briefly introduce yourself and the prospective resident, and we can discuss any initial questions you may have.
   
   
2. Application Form:
   If The Vine Community seems like a potential match, we will then provide you with our comprehensive application form. This form gathers essential information about the prospective resident’s medical history, support needs, interests, and social preferences.
   
   
3. Assessment and Visit:
   Once the completed application form is received, we will arrange a time for the prospective resident and their family to visit The Vine Community. This visit allows them to experience our home firsthand, meet some of our Mates and team, and see our facilities. During this time, we will also conduct an assessment to ensure we can meet all their care needs.
   
   
4. Committee Review:
   The application and assessment findings are then reviewed by our Admissions Sub-Committee. We carefully consider each application to ensure a harmonious fit within our community and that we can provide the specialised care required.
   
   
5. Decision and Offer:
   You will be notified of the committee’s decision. If an offer of placement is made, we will provide you with all the necessary details, including admission dates and any required documentation.
